Many people are fascinated by two things: cute pups and the popular Star Wars series. Even people who have never watched the movies are familiar with the Baby Yoda viral meme, therefore the combination of these two qualities is undeniably ideal, as demonstrated by a dog named Mork.
Mork was saved from the dog meat trade in China by the Harbin SHS group, and despite being in poor health, he was able to be moved to Road Dogs & Rescue in the United States in search of a new home.
Finally, Nikki Carvey, the founder of Road Dogs & Rescue, adopted Mork, and according to Bored Panda, the woman stated the following:
“Mork has survived. Harbin SHS saved him and other dogs from a Chinese meat truck. Unfortunately, some people still believe it is OK to eat dogs in that country, and many unwanted dogs are sold into the meat trade.”
Nikki also praised the efforts of the Harbin SHS organization, which is responsible for assisting these vulnerable animals in their rehabilitation process until they are adopted through various rescue organizations in the United States.
More than 50 canines have found permanent homes as a result of his leadership, including the adorable Baby Yoda-like pooch.
Mork, who has irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), was just 12.4 pounds when he came from China. He also has a number of congenital issues. But this hasn’t stopped Nikki from being pleased with her decision to adopt him.
“The good news is that he’s gained 5 pounds, and we’re working with a variety of professionals to help him become the best Mork he can be.”
Mork’s ideal weight is 20 pounds, and with the care he’s gotten, he’ll be able to attain it soon.
Nikki thinks it amusing that people compare him to Baby Yoda since he is so kind to everyone and loves to sit in the sun.
