Her New Pit Bull Sister Loves To Snuggle With Her Hairless Cat

When Pickle the hairless cat and her littermates were kittens, they all became very ill. Due to serious upper respiratory illnesses, they were surrendered to the ASPCA in New York City at the age of three weeks. Pickle’s siblings passed away as a result of the severity of their illnesses, yet despite a slew of medical problems, tiny Pickle fought on.

Pickle had serious corneal ulcers, hypoglycemia, and persistent respiratory problems. Dr. Danielle Delfino was the first veterinarian to aid Pickle, and she realized she was dealing with an unique cat from the moment she saw her.

Dr. Delfino told The Dodo, “I met her the day she came in and was her doctor at the time.” “From the minute I met her, I knew I wanted to adopt her.”

Delfino had always wanted to own a Sphynx cat and had been waiting for the right opportunity. Pickle had arrived at the ideal moment after one of her own cats had passed a few weeks previously. It was almost as if she had always been intended to be hers.

Delfino fostered Pickle while she recovered from her numerous problems, and she finalized the adoption once the cat was healthy. Delfino already had two other pets at home, a cat named Andy and a pit bull named Olive, both of which were thrilled to have a new little sister.

Pickle and her older sister Olive were fast friends as soon as they moved into their new home. The two enjoy spending time together, and while Olive appears to be protective of Pickle, Pickle does not appear to require any protection.

Delfino stated, “They’re usually playing together and racing around my flat.” “Pickle has no idea how little she is. She’s still quite little.”

Pickle, in particular, enjoys cuddling with her new family, and she appears to recognize that she is now secure and cherished in their arms and paws.
