This Photo Of A Pit Bull Hugging His New Mom After Leaving The Shelter Is Too Adorable

A photo of Kayla Filoon, 20, and her newly adopted dog, Russ, has recently gone viral on social media and is a great example of how lovely she is to adopt. Last year, when she volunteered as a dog walker at the ACT Philly shelter in Philadelphia, she met Russ, a 4-year-old pit bull who won her heart and later became a part of her family.

He arrived like a stray dog and was severely abused. I was informed he was around 40 pounds when he entered the shelter, was very emaciated, and was lacking fur on his tail and ears.

She could see he had something special right away.

He was quietly sitting there and staring at me. And I said, “He’s so cute!” I have to do it right away.

Later, when the woman went to check on Russ, he had hardly moved at all.

While the other dogs were barking and making a commotion, he was sitting in the same position as before and was calm.

Although Kayla spent around 45 minutes interacting with the puppy, it only took her 5 minutes to fall in love with him completely.

“Even when we went into the courtyard, he was quite nice with me. He didn’t bark at any of the other dogs, which gave the impression that he was a very kind dog.”

She came to the conclusion that Russ had probably lived somewhere before coming to the shelter because he knew basic commands like sit. The dog went back to her cage after they had finished their time together, and the woman called her mother to introduce the new addition to the family.
