This Dog Was Rescued An Hour Before Being Put Down For ‘Aggressive’, She Just Needed A Hug

Because she had been classified as a “aggressive” dog, Edie was saved an hour before she was scheduled to be put to death at a shelter. However, all she required was a hug to feel loved. Eddie was deemed “violent” by shelter staff, who also refused to let the public adopt her, according to Eldad Agar’s article on the Hope For Paws Blog.

She would bark a lot and keep her distance from people out of anxiety, but no one had ever taken the time to assist her get over her fear. In less than 24 hours, Edie would be put to death at the Lancaster animal shelter, but Eldad got a call from her friend Bronwyne informing him of what would happen to the sad creature.

Eldad found his friend’s dog, who was quite frightened since she will be sacrificed in an hour. Edie resisted Eldad’s attempts to attach the leash to her because she was so terrified and unsure of what was happening. Nevertheless, Eldad persisted because he wanted to save her.

Eldad put Edie on his lap to calm her down and demonstrate to her that not all people are unpleasant after he patiently managed to get her on the leash despite the dog still appearing to be quite furious.

Eldad stated in a blog post:

“I had to get in touch with her so she could realize that a human’s touch can be soothing, so I yanked the leash down and plopped her on my lap. I needed to be aware that not everyone is abusive.”

Edie relaxed right away.

Edie’s transformation happened quickly and was stunning. She was already letting people pet her and wagging her tail.

Then she was cleaned and all that matted hair was removed.

Now Edie lives very happily with her family forever.
