Chewy, a little 3-month-old Chihuahua, was discovered abandoned and hurt inside a Las Vegas airport restroom over the weekend. Chewy was discovered with a handwritten note from a lady next to him that detailed their joint escape from abuse. While frantically running away, the woman left her puppy behind because she was unable to take it with her.
“Hello! Chevy here! I wasn’t permitted on the airplane since my owner and I were having an abusive relationship. She genuinely didn’t want to leave me, but there was nothing she could do. When we fought, my ex-boyfriend would kick my dog, and now he has a large bump on his head. He most likely need a vet. I adore Chewy very much; kindly cherish and look after him.
Chewy wasn’t alone for very long, thank goodness. He was brought to Connor and Millie’s Dog Rescue by a kind stranger, and when Linda Gilliam, the organization’s president and founder, heard of his tale, she revealed that they had found a foster home for the adorable puppy because of the “enormous attention” his story had garnered.
Linda stated to The Dodo:
“My heart collapsed to the ground. I accepted it without thinking and told them to transport him to the emergency department right away.
Chewy is now in foster care and on the road to recovery and a better life.
Although the whereabouts of the lady who was compelled to leave Chewy alone are unknown, Linda believes that by telling her experience, it would assist other individuals who have animals in terrible circumstances.
Local animal rescue organizations can care for pets if escape with them is not an option. Through shelters, they can also assist in finding a solution to keep dogs and their owners together in such situations.
