This Dog Pretends To Be Sick So That His Parents Stay Home With Him And Do Not Go To Work

Most of the time, this dog called Sullivan exhibits no overt physical signs. So it would seem that this bright canine made the decision to create his own with that in mind. To avoid being at home alone, the dog pretends to be unwell.

With his human parents, Alex and Kennady, Sullivan resides in Utah. Last week, Kennady made the choice to take the dog for a lunchtime walk at home. However, when it came time to return to work, Ella Sullivan started to cough, which gave her a very bad feeling.

Kennady stated to The Dodo:

“I was genuinely amazed. She was eager to play and was wagging her tail and rushing about, but she also continued making that awful noise.

Kennady then made a call to her spouse to explain the situation. Since Sullivan was unable to remain with her, Alex made the decision to leave work early in order to keep Sullivan company and prevent things from getting worse.

But sure enough, after receiving that additional dosage of affection and care, the dog’s cough disappeared just as suddenly as it had begun. It appeared like Sullivan was in good health that evening.

Kennady declared:

We assumed he may have had something trapped in his throat, but it was eventually removed.

The dog began coughing again the next morning as the pair was getting ready to go for work. Alex was once again concerned and decided it would be better to stay at home that day. And indeed, that was most likely the precise response Sullivan had been hoping for.

Then, in an effort to determine Sullivan’s apparent ailment, Alex took him to the veterinarian. The results of certain testing revealed that the dog was actually in excellent health. A cough, too? IT WAS UNTRUE.

The couple then sought advice from numerous other veterinarians regarding their cherished dog’s symptoms in order to be on the safe side.

Kennady declared:

“Almost everyone mentioned he could be acting unwell in the mornings or when we leave him because he knows if he behaves different or sick we pay more attention to him and remain with him,” claimed one of the witnesses.

It turns out that such deception in animals is not unheard of, particularly when they elicit compassion and tenderness from their favorite individuals.
