Runners Hear Something Whispering In The Woods And End Up Saving 5 Little Lives

Last week, Ashley Blake and a training partner set out on a cross-country run through Tennessee’s woods with no notion that it would lead to the saving of a life. There were a total of five small animals saved before the day was out.

Ashley and her buddy Joshua Scott were halfway through their trip in Frozen Head State Park when they were startled by a faint sound just off the trail, which caused them to stop, turn, and look.

Ashley stated to The Dodo:

“It was only a tiny squeak that startled us. Hearing woodland animals is common, and that is what we anticipated. When we turned around, there saw a dark pile.

Ashley and Joshua cautiously walked up to the dark mound and saw what it was.

Alyssa said:

“Five pups were cuddled together. They were attempting to stay warm as it was almost completely frigid outside. You encounter a lot of animals when trail running, but never cubs.”

Ashley and Joshua made a call to the park’s management to request assistance. They then made an effort to sooth the terrified cubs and keep them warm.

Alyssa said:

“They cried out in terror. Once they understood that we were lukewarm and wouldn’t hurt them, they relaxed.

The heroes the puppies had been searching for had been discovered. A ranger immediately arrived to assist, and it quickly became apparent that the puppies definitely didn’t get lost there by accident.

Alyssa said:

“They were abandoned without access to mother, food, drink, or a blanket. This is not the first time cubs have been abandoned here, according to the park ranger.

The puppies were driven to the ranger’s car by Ashley, Joshua, and the ranger. Ashley and Joshua made the decision to stop and look for the source of the noise they had heard, which resulted in the pups being safe and in capable hands.
