One early morning in Kansas, a vehicle discovered a puppy abandoned in the middle of the road. For this man, what had happened was stunning not just because someone had the misguided morality to put her there, but also because of the surroundings in which he had discovered her. Little child had adhesive fully covering her mouth and eyes.
The Jack Russell terrier mix dog, now known as “Glory,” was rushed right away to the Wichita Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital. She was unfortunately in bad shape; her abdomen had bruises that were probably the result of punches.
Glory was given to Beauties and Beasts Inc, an animal rescue group in Wichita. She found solace there as she searched for a permanent home.
Glory’s tale has touched many people through social media. She is nine months old, and members of the group are searching for the offender so they may demand an explanation.
The company wrote on Facebook:
“Do you know who is responsible? This kind young lady was discovered by a Good Samaritan laying on the side of the road with injuries on her belly and her eyes and mouth taped shut. It was a deliberate act, and anyone capable of hurting a helpless dog is quite dangerous. They’ll keep abusing the helpless victims in this manner.”
Glory eventually shown her sunny attitude after a few weeks, and the Waggy family took her home, ensuring that she would never again have to face challenging circumstances.
Glory’s foster parent, Mark Claeys, said:
“A heartbreaking start, but I hope a joyful conclusion.”
