People In Texas Are Bringing Animals Indoors To Keep Them Warm During The Cold Snap

The recent cold wave that is sweeping across the southern states of the United States, particularly in Texas, has brought out the best in people, who have done all in their power to save thousands of helpless creatures in the face of the challenging weather conditions.

A recent winter blizzard brought the whole region to a stop, leaving millions of people without electricity and causing at least 21 local fatalities. However, this challenging scenario has inspired more sympathetic Texans, who are not only protecting their pets from the cold but also bringing in farm animals and wild creatures to keep them warm.

In an effort to protect them from freezing storms, they are also working to rescue sea turtles from the coast. This demonstrates that even in the face of adversity, humanism and unity can bloom.

Thousands of turtles have been saved as a result of community initiatives, according to a spokesman of Sea Turtle, Inc.

Bored Panda was informed by the volunteer:

Despite ongoing attempts, there were far fewer stranded turtles on Wednesday, which is encouraging.

Sea turtles are cold-blooded creatures that depend on the temperature of the water they are in to maintain their body temperature. If they are not saved, the rescuer on South Padre Island adds, they might drown.
