A fisherman used his net to catch a different kind of “fish” when he was out on his boat in Nanoose Bay in British Columbia, Canada. A young bald eagle was fighting to stay above the water and swam over to his boat asking for help.
Realizing the bird was sick and couldn’t fly away, the fisherman called ahead and the bird of prey was picked up by Wild A.I.D. and then transported to the care of the good people at O.W.L. Orphaned Wildlife Rehabilitation Society in Delta, B.C. where everyone is hopeful for a successful recovery and release back to the wild. That’s a fishing trip to remember!
