This Brave Woman Drives For Four Days With 20 Dogs Crammed Into Her Car To Flee Ukraine And Save Their Lives

As their owner escaped Ukrainian shelling near her home on the outskirts of Kiev, 20 French bulldogs were captured in a car. Even after this, the woman went back to the scene to save an additional 30 helpless animals who were still there among the explosion.

Before shells started to fall extremely near to her house after the invasion started, 53-year-old Olena Lukash did not think that a war could break out in Ukraine. The mother quickly recognized that she would have to flee her house and travel to Poland in order to protect her four-legged children from the dreadful menace.

Olena reports:

“I need to first provide my dogs a secure home in Europe before I can aid other pets in Ukraine. For the delivery of animals from Poland and Romania, we have already formed groups and chosen individuals, but they also want financial support for gasoline. I don’t have a lot of energy right now, and it’s a lot of effort.
