Man Holds A Tiny Sleeping Dormouse Who Snores Adorably

A man is holding a tiny dormouse in his hand and the cute little guy is in such a deep sleep he’s snoring!

In winter, dormice hibernate in nests beneath fallen leaves on the ground. This particular dormouse was hibernating in a nesting box conservationists had provided. The cutie was quickly taken out and checked to see if he had enough fat reserves to slumber on through until spring and he was judged to be in good health.

The conservationists who uploaded this video explain that a dormouse may spend up to three quarters of its life asleep, either hibernating in winter or in torpor during summer. They wanted to reassure everyone the little guy is okay. He’s just sleeping!
