A Grateful Pelican Keeps Visiting The Man Who Saved His Life And Communicates With Him
The 17-year-old animal enthusiast Omar El Oud was fishing with his father, Ali Bazzi, when he noticed a big white bird in the middle of the lake.
They were aware that it was a stranded pelican and that it need assistance as they drew nearer.

He had a fever, a cut on one of his feathers, was filthy, and was bleeding from one leg. Omar looked into how to care for the pelican once they got it to land.

The Ovi pelican was able to recover with the aid of the animal rehabilitation organization Lebanese Wildlife.
He grew to be a very sociable bird with me in less than a day. It is a really intelligent creature, Omar remarked.
Ovi would be secure at the marina, according to Ali, manager of Beirut, Lebanon’s Abou Mounir Fishery restaurant.

Ovi’s care and protection quickly became a shared communal endeavor.

Ovi was fed by Omar in the marina until he learned where the fish came from, at which point he became the best patron of the eatery. Ovi visits us numerous times every day for a snack.
