Beautiful Belgian horse Arthur had to see directly the injustice of human treatment. These animals are known for being enormous, powerful, and robust.
Unfortunately, because of these qualities, they are appealing to those who solely use them as a mode of transportation or to carry greater weight than is safe for them.
For thirty years, Arthur was made to transport light weights between locations while doing so in appalling circumstances.
With time, the magnificent horse’s health started to suffer as a result of all the cruel treatment he had had; he was losing all his strength and could scarcely stand up. When his owners saw how fragile his circumstance was, they made no attempt at all to assist him.
He was put up for sale rather than given some affection and a call to the veterinarian. Since then, Arthur has endured exhausting weeks of bouncing about from one salesman to another without anybody ever stopping to offer him the assistance he so sorely needed.
The only solace he had was meeting Max, a white horse that was going through the same thing as him. Both were ready to be sacrificed since they could not sell them or make a profit.
“I was appalled. Cindy remarked, “I had to do something to assist them.
That’s when Cindy Daigre stumbled into the tale of the horses that were turned down in a Facebook post. The Ferrel Hollow Farm Senior Horse Sanctuary in Tennessee was founded by Cindy.
