Lee Asher grew up in Los Angeles, California, with a strange family of nine rescued animals that lived on their own. Asher had known from an early age that he was meant to aid animals in need, and he had rescued 16 of them since then.
Asher used to spend a lot of time as a child at an animal shelter near his house, learning about the rescue process. As a result of this, he realized that his life’s work as an adult would be to rescue animals and assist them in finding homes as much as possible.
According to Asher, who spoke to The Dodo,
“I always knew I’d have a house full of rescued animals when I grew up, so where I am today comes as no surprise to me or anyone who has known me since I was a child.”
The guy brought seven dogs, Yaffa, Molly, Cali, BoBo, Butters, Haven, and Lillie, as well as two cats, Whiskey and Goose, to his home.
He’s always been able to assist these creatures. They were all saved from various sorts of abandonment and have had a great life as a result.
“Inspiration comes from loving dogs and understanding that by rescuing a dog, you are not only saving a life, but also making room for more rescued animals to be adopted.” It’s a win-win situation and a wonderful feeling.”
