Nothing is more energizing than observing wild creatures in their natural environment, enjoying the freedom and delight of not having anything to fear because their greatest “predator,” the human, is far away.
However, we have occasionally intruded so deeply into their domain that it is not unusual for families in some locations to see surprise visits that take their breath away.
A black bear wandered into Regina Keller’s property as she was watering her flowers. The plantigrade was compelled to seek for a source of cooling due to the scorching temperatures brought on by the scorching summer.
And, as if it were the polar opposite of the classic fairy tale “Goldilocks and the three bears,” the colossal beast couldn’t think of a better spot for a little snooze than the tiny children’s pool.
Regina’s residence is near the George Washington National Forest in Fort Valley, so she’s used to seeing a variety of creatures, including deer, foxes, squirrels, and, of course, bears! Come to a halt in her garden.
The strange thing about this incident is that, according to Regina’s social media posts, the woman and the bear already knew one other. She recognized him right away; she hadn’t seen him in two years, and she was overjoyed, especially because this bear was the “biggest she had ever seen in her life.”
“It’s clear that we need a bigger pool!” Regina wrote something that made a lot of people giggle.
“He roamed around the backyard, walked over to the pool, put his large paw in the water…then got in and laid down,” he continued.
The shocked woman then moved a chair near to the entrance to view and analyze the incredible spectacle unfolding in front of her.
Then another paw
Until he fell fast asleep
Keller stated, “That was great to witness it and have my camera with me to film it.”
Regina didn’t think twice about sharing the priceless footage with her pals, and it quickly went viral.
