A doctor from the Caribbean island of Antigua discovered this gorgeous puppy inside a cardboard box at his front door, and just by looking at her, he realized he required care since he had a particular medical issue.
The dog’s little eyes appeared to be closed and averted all of the time, but this physical issue, as well as her soft wrinkled forehead, struck her heart. The man did not hesitate to take her up and phoned Dogs and Cats of Antigua, a local animal rescue organization, right away.
The charity was in charge of picking up the small girl and transporting her to their facilities, where the workers dubbed her ‘Faith.’
She was critically malnourished in addition to her illness, but the volunteers at the charity felt they could give her a second chance at life.
Faith’s adopted mother, Kate Venezia, told The Dodo:
On the islands, a special needs dog like Faith would normally be killed right away. There aren’t many adopters, and there isn’t enough money to care for them.
Dogs & Cats paid for all of her medical expenditures and even persuaded the government to provide the necessary permissions so she could be sent to the United States for specialist care.
Faith was startled to see how determined she was to continue her life as a regular dog when she arrived at Kate’s place.
Kate expressed herself as follows:
“She was quite competent at going around the home; she’s not afraid of anything, but she usually manages to find her way by smelling and knocking into objects.” Nothing bothers her; if she collides with something, she simply hops back up and carries on.
The small girl navigates the home with her ears and nose, eventually arriving at her favorite spot: his mother’s feet.
Kate continued, ”
“She likes others, but she wants to be with me all the time because she senses how close we are.”
Faith lifts her nose and sniffs the air in an attempt to locate her, and if she hears a commotion in the house, she hurries over to him. The lovely canine was transferred to Animal Haven, a New York-based rescue organization, for medical evaluations.
Faith was confirmed to be suitable for a permanent home and family after a complete and exhaustive medical assessment.
The adoption requests began flooding in like a torrent as soon as the rescue organization released Faith’s lovely photographs on Facebook.
