Sam Mannell couldn’t wait to watch a litter of kittens develop and experience all of their firsts when she first started fostering them through SPCA New Zealand. The 3-week-old kittens are very little, and they’re still trying to figure out what’s going on around them.
Mannell told The Dodo, “They’re bottle-fed and a bit shy, but they’re starting to play now.” “The black one thinks he’s a person, the cream female is sassy, the ginger boy is strong, and the tiny gray lad is shy and little!”
The four kittens have been exploring Mannell’s house and have now found her couch for the first time. They were having so much fun climbing all over it that they ultimately got tired of all the exploration and fell asleep together.
Mannell decided to grab a bite to take advantage of the peaceful period. When she split open the chocolate bar, the kittens had just been sleeping for around 10 to 15 minutes…
… and immediately, all four kittens woke up.
When they heard the chocolate being unwrapped, they all opened their eyes at the same moment. Although they are young, they have already worked out what food tastes like.
The kitties stared at the chocolate with bated breath until they realized Mannell wasn’t going to share it with them.
“They went right back to sleep after that,” Mannell added.
Mannell was finally able to enjoy her food and a moment to herself while they were all asleep again — until they awoke and began exploring all over again.
