A Man Explains The Inner Workings Of Managing An Australian Wildlife Park

The quarantine imposed in many regions of the world as a result of Covid-19 disrupted many people’s holiday plans and effectively compelled us to stay at home.

You can go to the grocery shop, work, and visit other business facilities in some areas, but always remember to take precautions.

This is the society we live in now, and we must adjust to the new reality; nonetheless, some people have been able to escape the usual quarantine owing to their efforts.

He is eternally grateful to life for the opportunity to graduate from high school at the age of 24 and work directly with animals.

Chad had this to say to Bored Panda:

“I started as a part-time zoo keeper, then full-time for 5 years, then curating species, and now I’ve been the director of one zoo for almost 6 years and another for 12 months.”

Managing two wildlife parks is clearly a lot of work, but Chad is so dedicated that he doesn’t consider his responsibilities a job. The guy owns two parks in Sydney: Featherdale and Mogo Wildlife Park, which is around four hours south of Sydney.

Both parks have diverse animal species; one has the biggest collection of Australian animals, while the other solely comprises endangered species.

All of this job offers him delight, and the best part is that he never knows what he will find when he arrives at work.

Chad stated:

“When you deal with animals, there is no such thing as a typical day… my duty is to make sure they have everything they require.”

When Australia was engulfed in flames a year ago, one of the parks, Mogo Wildlife Park, was in dire and immediate danger.

The park was immediately impacted by wildfires, and Chad characterized the panicked moments and situations as “apocalyptic.” Fortunately, Chad and his coworkers were successful in safeguarding the zoo, and their fire-fighting strategy was effective.
