Meet Steve Grieg, a Colorado resident who is an animal lover and a kind owner. Steve, on the other hand, isn’t like other pet owners since he can’t resist adopting older dogs and farm animals. As a result, he has always had a large number of pets and usually has three or four dogs in his home at any one moment.
After one of his dogs passed, Steve began adopting animals in need. He wanted to do something special to honor his dog, so he went to his local shelter and requested the “least adoptable” senior dog. He wanted to offer this dog a shot at a happy life because he had been disregarded and had been unable to find a forever home.
“So I got Eeyore, a 12-year-old Chihuahua with a heart murmur and four terrible knees, and I brought him home, and that was just the beginning of all the animals,” Steve told The Dodo.
Grieg was used to taking on responsibilities and loved caring for animals, so he continued to accept animals from shelters. He currently owns ten senior dogs, a pig named Bikini, two ducks, pigeons, cats, and a few chickens, as well as two ducks, pigeons, cats, and a few chickens. He now has no more room for pets, but he plans to adopt additional elderly dogs in the future.
He has walks in the park, vet visits, grooming appointments, and so on in his calendar. as well as a lot of love and cuddles “A typical day for me is getting up at 5 a.m. and cooking breakfast for all of them,” he explained. “There are ten dogs and most of them have different diets.”
He also has a popular Instagram account with over 800.000 followers, where he frequently posts adorable images and videos of his dogs. People from all around the world keep track of his family and eagerly await updates and photos. Steve is pleased that his page can demonstrate how rewarding adopting older animals can be.
“It simply makes me glad to know that these guys are happy, loved, and well-cared for.”
