For the First Time Ever, Cat Goes to the Beach and Has Strong Emotions About it
Pumpkin is a sweet orange cat who found as his family grew that he had a slight form of cerebellar hypoplasia, which impairs his coordination and depth perception but does not prohibit him from living a normal life.
His family was assisting a litter of rescued kittens, and the inquisitive kitty was one among them. They didn’t intend to remain with any of them at first, but they finally chose Pumpkin and his brother Moustachio.
They couldn’t help but be charmed with the kittens. Pumpkin is a playful child who will not be stopped by anything.
Tia Stoddard, his mother, told The Dodo:
“We refer to him as clumsy as a kitten.” With the front legs elevated one at a time, it appears more like jogging than running.
When a cat sees the seashore, it has a beautiful reaction.
His mother contemplated taking the cute kitty to the beach for the first time because he likes time outside and family activities; he even goes hiking and kayaking.
The cat seemed to enjoy himself as he raced around the beach with his sibling. Until the wind picked up, and the family realized that their brave cat was not a lover of the strong breeze, and his mood rapidly changed.
Pumpkin’s mother tells the story:
“He enjoyed the beach, but we quickly discovered that he disliked the breeze. We had never seen anything like the looks he was making before, so we started shooting photographs and videos.
The cat’s emotions were immediate when the wind blew strongly; they had never seen their pet respond like this before and couldn’t stop giggling at their weird and amusing looks.
He was plainly annoyed by the wind, and he sought to convey this through his facial expressions.
Pumpkin and his family have visited the beach numerous times since that day. He enjoys playing in the sand and running everywhere, but the wind will never be one of his favorite things.
